This afternoon's meeting at Sedgefield has passed a 9am precautionary inspection and goes ahead as planned.
Officials at the County Durham circuit were forced to assess conditions due to temperatures "dropping lower than forecast".
But with the situation having improved markedly throughout the morning, estates manager and trainee clerk of the course Paul Barker was happy to give the meeting the go-ahead.
He said: "We got to minus 2C overnight, which was colder than we had been forecast, but we're good to go.
"Conditions have really improved this morning, so we are racing."
Sedgefield's seven-race jumps card starts at 1.20pm, with the going good to soft, soft in places.
