Charlie McBride is keen to finally get Spiritual Lady back in action this weekend.
McBride began the year with Classic hopes for the filly, who won three of her four races last year including the Listed Bosra Sham Stakes at Newmarket.
However, a succession of setbacks have kept her off the track to date this year and she will either run in the 32Red Sprint Cup at Haydock or the Betfred Garrowby Stakes at York.
"She wants softish ground so it all depends who gets the rain, she's ready to run but very ground dependent.
"Rain is forecast so hopefully we'll get her out somewhere this weekend as it's been a frustrating season.
"We were training her for the Guineas early on, but she wasn't working that well and my horses weren't running well.
"We tried to bring her back mid-season but she just wasn't 100 per cent so we decided to rest her.
"The aim was to bring her back for an autumn campaign when hopefully she'd get her ground, starting this weekend."
He added: "It hasn't been decided yet whether she stays in training, she'll probably end up at the sales but I'd love to still have her next year.
