Iain Jardine will not be worried by the expected testing conditions at Haydock on Saturday with Mayleaf Shine and Sepal in line to return to Merseyside following their exploits at the track three weeks ago.
Hot on the heels of Jardine's win in the Ebor with Nakeeta, the handler celebrated a Haydock double on September 9 and the same two horses are down to return on Saturday.
Mayleaf Shine runs in the £45,000 nationwidevehiclecontracts.co.uk Handicap, with Sepal poised to contest the 32Red Handicap on a five-timer.
"Mayleaf Shine has been put up 5lb for last time but the horse she beat (Soie D'Leau) has come out and won since," said Jardine.
"She loves testing ground. She's only three so the hope is there's more to come."
Jardine will also be running Hibou on the card, rather than in the Cambridgeshire or in a Group Three at Dundalk on Friday.
The trainer said: "He ran really well at the Galway Festival (second) and wasn't beaten far in the Irish Cambridgeshire but we'll keep him to Haydock this week.
Jardine added that all roads lead to the Cesarewitch for Shrewd after his third-place finish in the Trial last weekend.
