Heartache and Havana Grey chasing Flying Childers glory at Doncaster

Wed 13 Sep 2017

Heartache and Havana Grey are the star names among nine declarations for the Wainwrights Flying Childers Stakes at Doncaster on Friday.

Clive Cox's Heartache won the Queen Mary at Royal Ascot in June but suffered an injury in the Prix Robert Papin when losing her unbeaten record.

Connections are hoping the ground continues to dry out with Ryan Moore booked.

Havana Grey has been a star for Karl Burke, winning the Molecomb at Goodwood before finishing second to stablemate Unfortunately in the Prix Morny.

Gerald Mosse takes the ride on Roland Rocks for John Ryan, while Yogi's Girl runs for David Evans.

Midsummer Knight, Spoof, May Girl, Pursuing The Dream and Wings Of The Rock complete the field.
