German ace Dschingis Secret to warm up for Arc bid in Prix Foy

Sat 2 Sep 2017

Dschingis Secret is heading for the Qatar Prix Foy at Chantilly ahead of a crack at the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe over the same course and distance three weeks later.

German trainer Markus Klug reports the four-year-old colt to be in tip-tip shape following his victory over the Charlie Appleby-trained former Eclipse hero Hawkbill in the Grosser Preis von Berlin at Hoppegarten last month.

"He's come out of the race very good," said Klug.

"He will go the Prix Foy and then the Arc."

Dschingis Secret, a son of Soldier Hollow, is a 33-1 chance for the Arc with William Hill.

In addition to his Group One victory, Klug's charge has also been successful twice in Group Two company and once at Group Three level.
