Evan Williams has not ruled out a crack at the Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle with De Dollar Man.
Stepping up markedly in grade at Ascot last Saturday, he was beaten just a quarter of a length by Beyond Conceit and Topofthegame.
"I've always felt he was a nice horse, but the whole point of running him there was to find out how nice and to see where we'd end up in the spring," said Williams.
"Where he goes now, I just don't know. His rating of 141 sort of leaves us between two stools.
"We could quite easily have gone for a little race under a penalty, but then ended up with a rating in the mid-130s and then we wouldn't have been able to run in any nice handicaps.
"I might step him up in trip for the Albert Bartlett. One thing I'm sure he'll do is improve again.
"He's just very progressive, he was running in Irish points in the autumn. He then won a bumper for us in December but Colin Bowe, who had him first, should take the credit for that."
