Enable stays in training with defence of Arc at the top of her agenda

Mon 9 Oct 2017

Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe winner Enable will stay in training next year, connections have announced.

The John Gosden-trained three-year-old has enjoyed a stellar season, winning five Group Ones in succession culminating in her Chantilly triumph at the start of the month.

Owner Prince Khalid Abdullah had been deliberating whether to keep the daughter of Nathaniel in training as a four-year-old and the decision has been taken to press on in 2018, with an Arc bid again a likely target.

A statement issued by Abdullah's Juddmonte Farms read: "Prince Khalid bin Abdullah is pleased to announce that Enable will stay in training for 2018.

"Her racing program will be decided in the New Year, but the defence of the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe will be high in consideration."
