David Menuisier considers York charge with Make Time

Tue 15 Aug 2017

David Menuisier has earmarked the Strensall Stakes at York on Saturday week as a potential next port of call for Make Time.

The nine-furlong Group Three and the one-mile Prix Quincey at Deauville on August 27 are the two races under consideration for the son of Makfi.

Make Time returned from a short break with victory at Sandown before finding only Beat The Bank too strong in the Thoroughbred Stakes at Goodwood.

Menuisier said: "We have got a few options for Make Time but I'm not quite sure where he will go yet.

"The Strensall Stakes at York and the Prix Quincey are the first two options at the end of this month for him.

"The first entry stage for the French race has closed but I think I will enter him at the second stage.

"I would be quite happy to go to either York or Deauville. I love York and it is probably one of my favourite tracks.

"The ground will be the main factor with him. He needs to have cut in the ground as he doesn't want it too fast."
