Tom Stanley and Chris Dixon go through the video form to the Denford Stakes at Newbury on Saturday.

Boitron puts his unbeaten record and big reputation on the line in the Denford Stakes at Newbury on Saturday.

The Middleham Park Racing-owned juvenile bolted up on his debut at the Berkshire circuit in July and followed up at Doncaster a fortnight ago.

He steps up to Listed class for a race formerly known as the Washington Singer and trainer Richard Hannon is confident he will prove hard to beat.

“He is a gorgeous horse and is a proper two-year-old,” said Hannon.

“I was very pleased with his run at Doncaster the other day as he was giving a lot of weight away.

“His maiden was very impressive and if we get rain-softened ground, that would suit him.

“He should have an excellent chance.”

Hannon also runs a couple of apparent no-hopers in Big Ian and Galileo Jade.

The Charlie Appleby-trained Good Fortune has made more steady progress, but struck at the third time of asking with a demolition job at Lingfield.

Appleby said: “He’s going the right way and I think this is the right race for him.

“He was very impressive at Lingfield, I think he’s improved since physically and hopefully he’s ready to step up in class.”

Mark Johnston’s dual winner The Trader, Ralph Beckett’s Newmarket maiden winner Antonia De Vega and Dutch Treat, who opened her account for Andrew Balding at Yarmouth last time out, add further strength in depth to an interesting contest.
