
The racecourse is located 2km outside the town of Tralee and approached from the Limerick-Tralee road. It is a nine-furlong, left-handed track, two and a half furlong home straight.
Best races include the Guinness Gold Cup Premier Handicap, The Kerryman Ruby Stakes and the Denny Gold Medal Chase. The first recorded race meeting in the Tralee area was in 1767 and many different courses were used before racing moved permanently to its present location at Ballybeggan Park in 1898.
