Waterlogging claims Leicester

Thursday evening's meeting at Leicester has been abandoned due to waterlogging.
Having worked hard to get the meeting on, including moving some running rails, clerk of the course Jimmy Stevenson was dismayed to see further torrential rain.
He said: "We've abandoned, I'm afraid - we had 15 millimetres in a thunderstorm at 2pm, and there's water all over the place. It's absolutely unbelievable."
However, the precautionary inspection planned for 4pm ahead of racing at Hamilton has been cancelled.
Officials describe the going as soft, with only light showers now predicted before racing, and the action is scheduled to start at 6.50pm.
