William Hill Ayr Gold Cup Draw 2011

Racing UK is showing the all-important draw for the William Hill (Ayr) Gold Cup, free-to-air and live on Thursday at 11am.

The William Hill (Ayr) Gold Cup over six furlongs is Europe’s richest sprint handicap with £120,000 in prize-money and takes place on Saturday at 3.20pm. Current market leader is Pepper Lane, who landed Ripon's Great St Wilfred Handicap last month.

The draw, which will be hosted by Racing UK’s Tom O'Ryan and Ayr's Mark Kershaw, will be closely watched by horse connections, punters and enthusiasts alike. Key trainers Richard Fahey, David Nicholls and Jim Goldie have all confirmed their presence.

Those drawn high and near the stands side last year just held sway, with the winner and runner-up, Redford and Victoire de Lyphar drawn in 17 and 24.

The leading horseracing channel (Sky 432) will show all 23 races from the three-day Ayr Festival which gets underway at 2.20pm tomorrow (Thursday). Tom O'Ryan will be joined by Paul Morrison for the opening day’s racing, with coverage beginning at 2pm. There is also action from Pontefract and Kempton on Racing UK on Thursday.
