Sedgefield call early check

Tuesday's meeting at Sedgefield is subject to a 12.30pm inspection tomorrow with the course currently frozen in places and under two to three inches of snow.

Officials are pinning their hopes on the prospect of a rise in temperatures.

"We're going to inspect at 12.30pm tomorrow. Some forecasts are saying it is going to get warmer, so we'll know better at 12.30pm rather than 9am," said clerk of the course Phil Tuck.

"We've got two to three inches of snow on the track though, so it will need to warm up pretty quick to thaw it all."
