Magic Moonlight in Gheest repeat

Moonlight Cloud ran out a very impressive winner of the Prix Maurice de Gheest at Deauville for the second successive year.
Freddie Head's filly, who came so close to becoming the first horse to beat the legendary Black Caviar in the Diamond Jubilee at Royal Ascot, absolutely hacked up.
Settled just off the quarters of The Cheka, who attempted to make all for Eve Johnson Houghton in the Group One, Thierry Jarnet made a positive move a furlong and a half out and Moonlight Cloud quickly put around three lengths between herself and the chasing pack, and the race was over.
Wizz Kid made late headway to finish second for Robert Collet and Gerald Mosse.
