Ffos Las washed away

This evening's Flat meeting at Ffos Las has been abandoned due to a waterlogged track.
Course officials at the Welsh circuit were resigned to their fate following a hastily-arranged 2.45pm inspection.
Ten millimetres of overnight rainfall has been exacerbated by incessant downpours throughout the morning.
Clerk of the course Tim Long said: "It's always frustrating to lose a meeting but we had no other option.
"We had 10mm last night on already heavy ground but were still perfectly raceable, but it's been raining here since mid-morning.
"Even on a well-drained track like ours there's only so much it can take. You just can't race Flat horses on ground we've got at the moment."
