Dewhurst option for Wentworth

Wentworth

A challenge at Britain's most prestigious race for two-year-old colts could await Richard Hannon's York winner Wentworth.

The son of Acclamation, who has powerful owners in the Coolmore triumvirate of John Magnier, Michael Tabor and Derrick Smith, was a big eyecatcher on his debut at Glorious Goodwood and opened his account with a scorching finish in the Convivial Maiden Stakes on the Knavesmire.

Wentworth is engaged in the likes of the One Call Insurance Champagne Stakes, the Dubai Duty Free Mill Reef Stakes and the Group One Dubai Dewhurst Stakes at Newmarket on October 13.

"He got himself in all sorts of trouble the other day and he must be a good horse to have won from where he was," said Hannon.

"I'll probably run him again this season, he has lots of nice entries. He's in the Dewhurst and that's an option."
