Chrys looking to Hurry home

Chrysanthemum

David Wachman's Chrysanthemum will look to bloom again after her return from a summer breather in Tuesday's Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Hurry Harriet Stakes at Gowran Park.

Third to Misty For Me in last year's Group One Pretty Polly Stakes, the filly was kept in training at four and had a productive spring, winning Listed and Group Three events at the Curragh before finishing third to her younger stablemate Tannery over this course, distance and grade in the Victor McCalmont Memorial Stakes.

Wachman said: "She's in good form, she's had a bit of a break and is ready to start back. She was behind Tannery last time and given Tannery's form since, you couldn't be disappointed with that run."

Most of Ireland's top stables field a runner in opposition, with Aidan O'Brien running Twirl, who was second to Chrysanthemum in March, Joseph O'Brien's choice Devotion, and Soon.

Other fillies looking to get a win on the board are Jim Bolger's Alla Speranza and John Oxx's Shebella, while Dermot Weld raises the sights of Midnight Music after her success in one of the valuable handicaps at the Galway Festival.
