Arc bid unlikely for Baudolino

Tuesday 24 July 2012

Andre Fabre

Andre Fabre is cool on the idea of running Saint Baudolino in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe in October.

A close second in the French Derby before finishing third in the Grand Prix de Paris, the talented three-year-old could come down in class and trip for a Group Two at Deauville on August 15.

He said: "He is fine and he is going to go for the Group Two Prix Guillaume d'Ornano. I will have to speak to the owners, but I think the Arc is unlikely, as a mile and a half is maybe a little too far for him. I think he would prefer a mile and a quarter. He could be a horse for the Dubai World Cup."
