Baby out to mix it in Elite

Tom George is hoping for an improved performance from Baby Mix when he lines up for the Elite Hurdle next month.
The Slad trainer is looking forward to running the four-year-old grey at Wincanton after he disappointed slightly on his reappearance when third to Dodging Bullets at Cheltenham last weekend.
"He's fine but that performance was hard to weigh up. He's grown a lot over the summer. Before the race, I said that last year he needed very little work. He may have needed the run the other day, we won't know until he runs next time," said George.
"Hopefully that will have put him right and he'll be stronger.
"We're probably going to run him in the Elite Hurdle at Wincanton. We'll aim him for that.
"He loves a flat track, as he showed when he won at Kempton last season. Slightly in the back of my mind is that the last three times he's run at Cheltenham, he's not come up the hill for some reason.
"We'll get back to a flat track and if that doesn't work, he's been jumping fences since he was a three-year-old so he could do that. There are plenty of options."
