Boom time in France for Baker

Tuesday 9 October 2012

Boomshackerlacker

George Baker is planning to return to a happy French hunting ground with his useful two-year-old Boomshackerlacker.

The Newmarket maiden winner was second in a Listed event at Newmarket and was a very impressive winner of a race in the same grade at Maisons-Laffitte last month.

"The idea is to go back to Maisons-Laffitte for a Group Two in November (Critérium de Maisons-Laffitte)," said Baker.

The six-furlong race has been quite a lucky one for British raiders over the last decade, with Kevin Ryan's pair Balthazaar's Gift and Our Jonathan, as well as Barry Hills' Captain Marvelous, all on the roll of honour.
