Kieran Purcell is hoping Burrenbridge Lodge can continue his progression when he lines-up for the Friends Of Tipperary Hurdle on Sunday.

He is one of only two four-year-olds entered in the Grade Two contest, but showed he was ready for the step back up in class after winning a 16-runner handicap hurdle in good style at Listowel last month.

Burrenbridge Lodge lowered the colours of the highly-rated Minsk at this level at Fairyhouse in February.

"Hopefully he'll run at Tipperary on Sunday. He's in good form and he's a nice horse," said the County Kilkenny trainer.

"He's a promising sort and he won nicely at Listowel the last day.

"He's only a four-year-old but he's a very big horse. Hopefully when he fills out he'll be a very good horse."
