Watch Michael Owen’s Brown Panther in German Derby
Dedicated horseracing channel Racing UK will be showing the German Derby on Sunday, featuring the Michael Owen-owned Brown Panther.
The race is due off at 4.35pm (BST) as the England and Manchester United striker bids to follow up his first Royal Ascot win with a Classic victory on a horse described by the German media as "the best three-year-old in the world!"
The impressive winner of the King George V Stakes, trained by Tom Dascombe, has been made favourite by local bookmakers after being drawn stall number two of 18 for the Deutsches Derby at Hamburg racecourse.
The German contest will supplement the coverage on Racing UK (Sky 432/Virgin 536) from Market Rasen and Ayr and also Chantilly, where the French coverage will include the Group 1 Prix Jean Prat, due off at 2.45pm (BST), and featuring British raiders Strong Suit, Zoffany, Fury and Neebras. The coverage from Germany continues Racing UK’s growing portfolio of international races.
This year, the channel has shown racing from Dubai, France, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Singapore and the US.
