Racing UK (www.racinguk.com) the broadcast media company owned by 30 British racecourses, broadcasts live horse racing on satellite and cable in the UK and Ireland. Turf TV is a bespoke service broadcast to licensed betting shops in the UK and Ireland.

Chyron Graphics Operator
Overview:
Graphics Operators are responsible for operating Chyron/Lyric Pro on live horse racing progammes and some pre-records - partly through a pc-based data interface and partly using templated messages prepared directly on the Chyron.
Qualities and Responsibilities:
You will be expected to produce/edit graphics in a live gallery environment at the director/producer’s request, working to the house style and guidelines provided.
Previous experience operating Chyron products in a live situation would be a distinct advantage, but training will be provided.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are needed, especially spelling and grammar. An interest in horse racing, and sports/betting knowledge are definite advantages.
Good organisational skills and a positive attitude are necessary, as is an ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities, working under limited supervision in a high pressure environment. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook is required, and some experience with Photoshop would be an advantage.
Hours:
You must be willing to work flexible hours including Bank Holidays and weekends; punctual, regular and consistent attendance will be required.
