We all know Pricewise is a genius
7 February 2012
We all know Pricewise is a genius and is also in fine form at the moment, but I have taken a look at his ante-post Cheltenham selections and I say no, no, no! Now maybe he is the wrong guy to take on at moment but just for fun I am going to do it anyway, we will find out in March who is right, If it's me I will let you know, I am sure someone will remind me if I am not.
Mr Segal's selections on the left, mine on the right, he has had first choice so no duplicates, non runner=void 10pts for a win 5pts for a place:-
Gold Cup: Captain Chris 20/1 Synchronised 14/1
Champion Hurdle: Oscars Well 25/1 Overturn 50/1
Champion Chase: Wishfull Thinking 20/1 Kauto Stone 33/1
World Hurdle: Carlito Brigante 50/1 Dynaste 25/1
Arkle: Menorah 16/1 Blackstairmountian 20/1
Review
Mark Johnston's newcomer Belle Josephinebattled back well to be the odds-on favourite yesterday to pull me level on the day. Is it Johnston's training or is it Joe Fanning, I don't know but the odds on Favourite traded at silly odds on but never got there and went down by 3/4 length.
Nothing to report from yesterday especially from Wolverhampton that was run in dense fog, how the racecourse commentators managed I will never know.

Great new from Carlisle Racecourse that, they are going to repeat their hugely successful 'Ultimate Ladies Night' on August 6th. Now I can't guarantee the racing or the glamour will rival Royal Ascot but I can guarantee a great night out, over 10,000 people attended last year and you need to book early, book tickets here:-http://www.carlisle-races.co.uk/ladiesnight.asp
And in addition the legend that is Sarah Cox is co-hosting the evening, seriously follow her on Twitter she will make you laugh every day.
We are well on our way to our target of 250 followers by next Saturday but if you have not found us yet please click on the links below.

Today
Ghostwing Southwell 3.45 ran to badly to be true last time, today back at the track where he has run well twice recently I hope to see a different horse and will be having a small E/W bet.
Throw in John Gosdens well bred Derivatives 3.15 Southwell who was expected to win last time and won't find a better opportunity than this race and Suddenly Susan 2.0 Wolves who won well last time you have my 3 for the day, Suddenly Susan was 4 lengths clear at the furlong pole last time so if handling the track should have enough speed to double up today at this shorter trip? I will put it up as a comp selection but I have been advised (Tat) to lay it off short as insurance.
Lay of the Day
Proud Times was well beaten yesterday and this run will have to come to an end soon but we will go for it again with today's LAY selections (2.52 in running win market and 1.88 place market) is:-
Global Village 3.45 Southwell
Monday Comp Selections
Ghostwing Southwell 3.45 5pts e/w
Suddenly Susan 2.0 Wolves 5pts win
Derivatives 3.15 Southwell 5pts win
