Top Billing for Gosden in the Slug Race

The Slug and Lettuce Cocktails Handicap may not be the most appealing name for a race the sponsors could have chosen, but that is the race my selection has chosen to make his handicap debut in today.
Top Billing should show some improved form today tonight. Hopefully Mr Gosden's charge will benefit from the first-time blinkers and the better ground and should have enough firepower to record his first victory. He has turned in three half-decent efforts in maiden races and William Buick should be able to take advantage of the allocated weight of 9st 3lb, which may look a little lenient come 7.55 pm.
In other news Nathaniel has been ruled out of the expected clash with Frankel at York and the 1/5 currently available on the superstar is starting to look like excellent value. I never thought I would write a sentence like that about a 1/5 shot, but short of a catastrophe it may be the best 20% profit you will make in around two minutes.
