The ‘law enforcement’ will have me preparing the BBQ
1 September 2012
Today's Selection
4.30 Sandown - Law Enforcement
We are having BBQ today with some mates at our place, which is great except this is England where at least of late it seems to rain every day! Providing it stays dry and I do not burn the sausages it should be a success. It will take a fair bit of preparation this morning, though, and whilst my role has not been clearly defined yet I suspect keeping our daughter entertained and out of the way of all preparations will be my primary role. That is fine by me as I already feel that I spent much of the night with her as she seemingly had a bad nightmare last night. I have no idea what constitutes a nightmare for a 19-month-old, maybe Postman Pat losing the plot with his cat Jess and refusing to take him on his rounds or, God forbid, Igglepiggle upsydaisy having a massive row in the night garden. Either way she seems fine now and all was well in the Ceebeebies world this morning.
There is some excellent racing today on your favorite racing channel with Sandown taking centre stage. I am keen on Law Enforcement in the 4.30. He has gone up 5lb for a recent cosy win, but was impressive in winning and there is more to come from this horse. His four opponents do not have such a progressive profile and, albeit at a short price, Law Enforcement should win.
I do not often put up horses to follow here on the blog but today I want to highlight Lancelot Du Laq, who ran at Sandown on Friday in a seven furlong maiden and was given a so-called enterprising rides. Lancelot was travelling well with half a mile to go which prompted his jockey to kick for home. The horse showed a sharp turn of foot to get to the front from midfield before getting tired a furlong and a half out. In the end he was well beaten, but he clearly his energy had not been distributed properly. It was a poor ride and there is better to come from my horse to follow this week, Lancelot Du Laq. You never know we may get a decent price about him somewhere down the line.

I also have put together some video speed figure analysis from York, which you can watch here:
I hope you have a nice weekend
