Prolific’s Blog - Today’s meetings at Towcester and Wincanton have been abandoned
2 February 2012
Fingers crossed
The weather is going to bite over the next few days, Towcester has already been lost and Wincanton has now also been abandoned, so we It may be wise to focus on Wolverhampton today, as Clonmel is reported as heavy and when they say heavy they mean heavy.
Review
Yesterday's selections where pretty average, as usual any e/w selection will do it's best to finish 4th and although Bourne although beaten only by a head was beaten by a better horse, it will win a race and goes on the list for next time, along with the winner.

Willie Mullins has hit the 100 winners mark already and the horse that did it for him , Soll is reported to be aimed now to go straight to the festival for the NH chase.
Today
Gabrials King (4.50 Wolverhampton) will not be much of a price but seems to be going the right way and should take this weak contest Mr Donohoe replaces Mr Spencer onbard.
Fashion Icon (Southwell 1.30) is no world beater, but is a course and disctance winner, is fresh back from a break and could easily sneak into a place at a decent price.
Lay of the Day
Playing the Field ran 3/7 yesterday with the other selection a non runner, today lays:-
Arkaim Southwell 3.30 (laying in running @2.2 win market and 1.7 place)
and
Prickles Wolverhampton 3.20 (2.2 place market only)
February Comp. selections
Gabrials King (4.50 Wolverhampton) 5pts win
Fashion Icon (1.30 Southwell) 5pts E/W
