Review and today
It’s common knowledge know that ‘Man-Flue’ can be a very dangerous thing for the Racing Fan, you do not want to have a fuzzy head and the sniffles when Cheltenham is on. And you definitely don’t want it in your stables three weeks before the Festival. That’s the problem for the all conquering Nicholls stable this week. It was plain to see that his horses have not been finishing their races in the last couple of weeks and only Zarkandar has won for the stable in February. He has suspended the Media Day that was booked for Wednesday this week and if you are carrying any ante-post slips for the Champion trainer, well let’s hope you are not using them as tissue paper come next month. The champion trainer has three intended runners at Taunton today.
Michael Owen has sold 50% of Brown Panther to Andrew ‘Betfair’ Black this week after apparently ‘receiving an offer he could not refuse’ No exact figure was given for this transaction but you can bet there was more digits in it that number than there is in my Betfair Account.
Today-Grand Article has only run three times over fences and today’s 3.05 at Taunton is a drop in class, add to that the poor recent form of many of the other challengers leads me to have a small win/place bet. Only the 13-year old evergreen plodder that is Kinkeel concerns me.
