Nothing like a Bold Prediction first day back!
28 July 2012
Today's Selection
7.15 Salisbury - Bold Prediction
After a ten day break I am pleased to return to blogging duties this Saturday morning. I often bemoan just how unlucky I can be and at times I feel I am justified to complain, but after spending ten days camping in Devon in glorious sunshine I really need to thank my lucky stars, well at least on this occasion.
We enjoyed our first camping venture, which with an eighteen-month-old could have been a disaster, indeed our enjoyment was inevitably linked to how good a time she had. I am pleased to say that she really enjoyed the sense of freedom that camping brings. She particularly enjoyed walking around the campsite every morning between 5.00am and 5.30am, even if her shouts of Dadda or Momma probably woke up plenty of our fellow campers. It was certainly an experience we will look to replicate and even if we did not return completely refreshed, we found it to be an enriching experience.
My lack of blogging has of course saved you as I was going through a bit of a barren run, but refreshed and envigorated for those of you brave enough here is my Saturday selection. I am going to chance my arm with Bold Prediction in the 7.15 at Salisbury. This two-year-old, trained by Richard Hannon, has run two solid races this season and is progressive. He ran a decent speed figure last time up and is well drawn tonight. He will be no bargain but can give me a winning return to blog tipping.
I return to Racing UK duties today and will be getting involved in our coverage from Goodwood next week. In the meantime I need to catch up with what has been going on in the racing world during my absence. I have managed to watch the King George and have been keeping a close eye in the Hughes vs Moore battle for the flat jockeys championship. Other than that I have rather had my mind on other things such as not having a beer too close to bedtime because it was a long cold trek to the toilets if you got caught short!
Time to bid you farewell now. Enjoy all the action today on Racing UK with some more random thoughts.
All the best
