February?
What's not to like, Pancake Tuesday, Valentines day and with this year being a leap year we have an extra days gambling on the 29th. This will be fulfilled by fixtures at Bangor, Kempton, Folkestone and Southwell. On top of all that once February is out the way Cheltenham is ever closer, just 40 days to go.
Review
I will update you on my ante-post selections by the middle of next week but one horse I won't be backing is Paul Nicholls Dildar who ran and won yesterday, not the biggest animal and a nervous hurdler at best, the trainer says one more run before March! so perhaps one to keep an eye on but we will wait and see. I was more impressed by the way Ted Spread ran, this classy ex-flat type should be in your note book for the future. http://nagme.com/horse/80132/Ted-Spread-
This week
The cold snap is here, Ludlow has gone already and Newcastle and Leicester inspect at 8am. And it is not looking good for the end of the week, please note if you are thinking of going to Wolverhampton' twilight meeting on Thursday it has been brought forward and now kicks of at 1.50pm
Twitter
No interesting Tweets today but there has been a lack of comments funnily enough from Andrew Mcnamara who failed to weigh in on Double Double at Leopardstown on Sunday when finishing second, we all make mistakes but an explanation and an apology would go a long way to repairing the bad feeling for all the punters that may as well have thrown their money in the fire.
Lay of the Day
I will be laying @2.2 in the win market and 1.4 in the place-Playing The Field 3.50 Newcastle and Drom Leic 3.0
Feb Comp Selections
Bourne 1.20 Newc (5pts win)
