Racing UK

Resident tipster

I am not a Boy Scout anymore!

21 August 2012

When the 'boss' suggested a weekend away in the country I had thoughts of a nice hotel, perhaps a little bit of golf in the morning and afternoons in front of the TV/Laptop watching Racing UK whilst everyone else was out getting covered in some sort of skin-replenishing mud.

Well it looks like what I am going to get is a week under some nylon in a field in Wales, miles from anywhere with no internet and pretty much no civilization.

Now I have nothing against Wales - let's get that straight, but why, oh, why after years of building up a home full of all the mod-cons from flat screens to wifi and power showers would I want to spend the week in a tent with no TV and a communal shower block at the end of the field, which I will share with two hundred other happy campers!! Let's face it my cub scout days are over and I didn't like it so much when I was nine. I need to find an excuse and fast!

I'm having a day off today to recharge the batteries ready for York tomorrow, but I have one selection to back and one to Lay for you today.

Good luck today.
