Henry’s in but Johnny’s out!
16 August 2012
York is only a week away now and the rain has come to Yorkshire again, not that it has been far away from anywhere this year as watching the downpour at Beverley on Racing UK last night proves it has been one crazy summer.
I don't know why but there is something strangely amusing about watching other people dodging the rain when you are nice and dry in front of the television. In front of the television is where top jockey Johnny Murtagh will be next week as he is recovering from a facial injury from a fall at the Curragh at the weekend but Sir Henry Cecil is apparently hoping to be at the course to witness Frankel's next demolition mission on the Wednesday.
I am on a pretty poor run for winners at the moment and need to kick into overdrive to hit my target of twenty winners a month and with that in mind I am going for four selections today with the main bet being Andrew Balding Love Tatoo at Salisbury this afternoon.
Everything seems to be going well for the Balding family at the moment and Love Tattoo ran a respectable third behind Sentaril at Newbury in April in what then looked like a half-decent maiden. The form has taken a couple of knocks since then but the Acclamation filly has had a nice break and the stable has really kicked into form.
Good luck today.
